Serious paddlers will be up for the challenge of one of Ireland’s newest and most exciting canoe trails along the lower Bann river …. or maybe they’ll opt for kayaking in the Atlantic waves off the dramatic North coast.   Both have great facilities whether you bring your own gear or need to hire locally.  This is also a great spot to try out the sport or develop your skills. If your canoeing isn’t great, you can always admire the views!

Okay, so it rains in Ireland. That’s why the landscape is so lush and green.  It’s also why we have so many things to do, whatever the weather! We’re not averse to pulling on raincoats and wellie boots and staying outdoors in rain which can be so soft that you hardly notice it, but we also recognise the pleasure of holing up somewhere cosy! We’ve also indoor attractions which are fun whatever the weather.
